Post subject:  SCSI & AMD K7 SMP Support....

Does the default kernel in the R2V2 version have support for SCSI (via GDTH) and dual amd xp processors, because debian bf24 doesn't. My server doesn't have a parallel hd.... only serial ata off a serial raid pci card.... thus needing gdth.

Also... in relation to cpu usage. my server is a dual amd 2000+ with 512mb ... I want to run mythtv and mail, web, file, and ftp services as well all on the same box. Is this too much?

My other thought was to use the dual amd 2000+ server for all listed above but mythtv. Then use a 2400+ amd server with a small harddrive just for the OS and use samba to store all the videos, music, etc... on the file server over a 10/100 LAN in 100 mode.

Any suggestions?
