Does the schedule recording program within MythTV call nvram-wakeup routine ? That way it would boot the system if it is down around the time it is supposed to record. |

Yes, please check the mythtv archive for details. I've seen details for setting it up there. |

of course that only works if you can boot your machine w/ the lan connected w/o getting blinky-blink |

Seems MythTV does not support what I was looking for 'To powerup the system just before a recording if the system is off, automatically'. You need to run a script to read the schedules and run nvram-wakeup based on the decision you come to, before shutting down the system. http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/e ... ist=mythtv BR Cyrus |
