I'm using ext3 for the system and ReiserFS on an LVM for the myth data. The theory is that I can expand the (logical) partition and the filesystem without having to back it up. Course, I've been too scared to do that, so far.

Post subject:  How to vote??

I know I'm a newbie with this PHPBB stuff, but how do I VOTE on one of these polls??

Do I use JFS today? No. Will I use it in the future? Probably. From descriptions on mythtv.org and elsewhere, it sounds like JFS is the optimum filesystem for myth.

My goal is to get JFS under LVM so I can add volumes to my myth box and fine-tune my storage. Yes, I know cesman... "contribute". I'm getting there but I have a lot to learn before I can make beneficial contributions. But this will come.

Polls can be set for X period of time...It you try to vote at time period, you cannot.

I wouldn't really say JFS is better for mythtv than any of the other filesystems. you can use lvm with any of them, and XFS actually handles very large files better than JFS, and obviously with the exception of mythgame you are generaly going to be dealing with low numbers of very large files.
