I purchased a dragon from the fine people at StormLogic/mythic.tv and had no problem with using the accompanying wireless USB keyboard's built-in mouse. That was with r5f27.

Since upgrading to r5.5, the mouse no longer works. I've also tried plugging in a PS/2 mouse, also tried a corded USB mouse (rebooting each time), but to no avail.

My googles and forum searches have come up empty. I tried to track down the problem through log files, no luck. It did appear as though there should be a mousedev module, but when I do lsmod, no such module appears. Perhaps this is a red herring.

Can anyone please help me to troubleshoot this issue?

Thank you kindly,
Alain.

I too noticed the other day that my mouse wasnt doing anything, but as i dont use it that much, i didnt look any further... only reason i found out was that i started miro, and couldnt get out of it as the mouse didnt move the cursor... i thought it might be a plug not seated properly, but maybe not?

Try hot plugging the USB mouse. This will often make the system wake up and smell the hardware.

mines a ps2 jobby, but my posts could be red herrings as i havent had a chance to diagnose/investigate the cause.

Interestingly, and possibly related, is that from R5F27 to R5.5 i had to implement some jiggery-pokery to determine the event# for lirc, as each boot the event numbers shuffled about (keyboards, mice etc).

I've tried simply plugging in a corded USB mouse while myth is up and running, and also tried rebooting the dragon while the mouse is plugged in. Did you mean something else?

Thanks, I really appreciate any advice you can offer.

Alain.
