This is truly sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with Dale's family and with you Cecil.

Tomorrow, a memorial for Dale will be held here in California. The past two weeks have been difficult for me. However, I am starting to feel better. I know tomorrow will be difficult... I'm a mixed bag of emotions at the moment.

I've passed the community's condolences to Dale's family.

Thank you.

Cecil

PS: If anyone wants to, they can contribute to the EFF or Freenode. Dale would appreciate that.

Please pass on my condolences. I was out of contact with my own bundle of joy. My first daughter was born 11-13-08 at 7:32 PM.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Cecil. I also lost a friend this year. It's hard to fill the hole they leave, but our memories of good times shared live on. I'm sure Dale leaves much behind, but I will certainly always remember him when my family enjoys another relaxing evening courtesy of KnoppMyth.

I didn't see this news until today, but I wanted to add that I was happy to have been able to work with Dale a bit on previous KnoppMyth releases, and he will definitely be missed.

Even if they don't know it, anyone who enjoys and appreciates KnoppMyth owes their thanks to Dale for sharing Cecil's vision in the early days and getting us to where we are now.

Taken and resized from mihanson's SCALE 7x photo thread. I think it is very touching memorial of sorts.

This has been a sad and tearful week. I lost a good friend on another forum (DSL Reports) and it reminded me of how I missed Dale too. I wish I could have one more day to tell them how important and special they were.

RIP R. Dale Thomas and David Adkins. You will be missed my friends.

It was a year ago today that Dale and I shared our last meal together. In a few days, he would have been going to Australia. I remember as we ate, he stated that the meal reminded him of his mother's cooking. After his passing, others talked about how he would speak fondly of his mother's cooking. Having made us dinner that night and to know he enjoyed it and brought back fond memories to him is a memory that I shall always cherrish. I miss you my friend.
