I've had a stable Knoppmyth R5.5 box since the day after the release of R5.5- up until last week.

We had a power glitch, which caused an unscheduled power down on the box. When I brought it back up, everything LOOKED normal, but when I went to play a recording (it was from the HD5500, HD OTA) it played the video correctly but the audio from another recorded program came blasting out. So I backed out to my recorded programs again, and the audio began to play during the program preview. When I selected to watch the program, the video would start at the beginning, but the audio would continue where it left off at the preview.

I shut the box down nicely and removed power for about 3 minutes. When I restarted it, everything works properly again EXCEPT there's about 150mS of audio delay- meaning the audio lags the video by a little bit, on all recorded programs (even the new ones and liveTV). Also- it happens regardless of tuner (I have the HD5500 as well as a PVR-150).

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Dave

Quick update, assuming this was a database problem, I ran the database repair outlined here: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=RepairingMythConvergDB

No improvement. To better characterize this, I tried watching last night. It seems that the show starts off pretty much on time, then slips to 150mS over a period of about 15 minutes. Sometimes, I'll get a *click* and the sound will be back where its supposed to be, but the amount of time before that happens varies. Pauses and commercial skips do not seem to be affecting the sound either way. Since I already know there's an AV-710 driver problem with this release, I might just try dropping back to onboard MB sound, since there's a digital out there as well (coax, not optical, but that's not a problem).
