OK I have R6 loaded everything was working fine then it went horribly wrong.

When I went into live tv it would play but the fromt end stoped responding to either the keyboard or the remote. the only way to get control back was to alt-x and sudo reboot . I think killing the frontend would have done it I used to have a button on my remote to do this but i need to find / reinstall my lirc files.

Ok I found out what the problem was it was the OSD settings one of the osd theams (I will investigate and find out which, it was one of the ones with a blue box at the top) causes this problem. I also have the guide automatically enabled for live tv so maybee its the combination of the guide and the osd theam. Strange thing is it works fine for recorded programs.

Sorry I cant be more specific as to the theme that caused it i will try to recreate it tonight, as I think asking the mrs if i can try breaking her tv again having only just got it back after a day may be a bad thing. I will try tonight after 11 when all the sheduled programs have finished recording.
