Is anyone else using the ATI Remote Wonder under R6? I'm finding that only a few buttons are functionally (up, down, left, right, checkmark, D) using the /etc/lircd.conf that comes with R6 -- which is the same one that's on the mythtv wiki.

Has anyone modded it for additional functionality? How about the kernel module? I compiled one under R5.5 as I recall.

I think it's already using the kernel module. Deactivating the modules allowed me to use lirc with a usable configuration but inferior performances (lower responsiveness, no key repetition).

@benotto - do you have full functionality of the remote with the kernel driver?

Same results you had: Arrow keys and D (an possibly checkmark? I may have not checked thoroughly). It is definately not the kernel module I used to use in R5.5.

In order to have full funcionality I had to rename the module (both ati_remote.ko and ati_remote2.ko) so that I could use Lirc.

With Lirc I have full funcionality but low performance.

I guess that in order to use the kernel module we could either recompile it (which I will probably never be able to do) or remap the keys with xmodmap or gizmod (I suggestion I got from an italian forum for Mythtv users).

I actually compiled the kernel module under R5.5... I think I followed my howto to make it work, although, I'm reading it now and I didn't update the post to say that it worked with R5.5 but I think it did.

I updated flyspray task 177 which is about this remote. Please post your comments/thoughts there.
