Hi, i am a newbie to KnoppMYTH, well impressed !!!!

I'd like to see the following in R5

1. spit2k1 has written a cool script to record programmes
direct dvd, details can be seen in the mythtv general area,

2. Integration of ePSXe, the excellent PSX emulator, www.epsxe.com.
A brilliant emulator. List of dependancies (not many) are at the website.

3. Easier setup/configuration ie. When you have told it which region you are in, it could maybe take you automatically through channel scanning, and asking which other features (ie. games/news/weather) you would like to configure, or have a default set according to your location......

Just a few ideas, as a newbie.....

sorry.. you missed the R5 train.. It was closed for suggestions some time ago..

my thooughts on your ideas...

1) that would be nice.. =)

2) You dont even have to comile on the box.. just copy it over to the knoppmyth box. So i think this one is easy enough to do for yourself.. I also run epsxe on my box.

3) The current setup has a logical and set SETUP route. After you break your box 20 or so times, you get very fast at it. A good way would be to try and get mythbrowser working.. You'll get plenty of pracitce reloading and setting up.

All are decent suggestions..but #1 has the most merrit IMHO cesman will post for sequestion requests on whatever the next version after R5.

My take on everything.

1) this is a good idea and considering deb's are already available would be very easy to implement, and if cesman is in a generous mood could probably easily make it into R5.

2) Not much of a gamer, so I don't really care either way

3) The majority of this stuff is not knoppmyth related, but mythtv related and would have to be fixed by that development team, possibly in 0.16, not that I think they are even working on any of this.
