I have installed Knoppmyth BE on a dedicated "backend server". And I have been using Mythtv player (windows application) as FE.

However now I want to use a dedicated FE for connection to my TV. I followed this to set it all up: http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... nlyInstall

It was very easy to setup. But when I want to play a recording (or watch TV) the video picture stop and starts continously. As if the bandwidth is not enough...

I would have expected the knoppmyth to operate better than the win app.

My network is btw cabled (100Mbps). I use DVB-T Haupauge, and record using the "default" setting

Anyone with a suggestion?

Setup:
Knoppmyth: R5F1
FE system: EPIA ME600
BE system: EPIA 1000

BTW: I am very happy about the R5F1 release Smile

Here's an old thread with the same problem on the same front end hardware:

Can you confirm that you're using hardware decoding on the ME600?

Thanks a lot for the link...

I have it to operate now.

What I did was to go into setup/tv/playback and select "VIA XvMC" as decoder instead of "standard".

This is great :D
