I finally "bit the bullet" and built a small site with some of my favorite utilities documented and available for download. I'll be adding more as time goes by -- here's the link in case anyone is interested: http://mythtv.mlaronson.com/home

Nice stuff Marc.

It does beg the question though that we should do something to clean up our LinHES/Knoppmyth wiki.

The best example I know of is the one at contribs.org. which is really very practical and well organized. It is powered by Media Wiki and I'm sure the folks there would have no issue if we copied the format.

http://wiki.contribs.org/Main_Page

The main entries:
documentation
How-to - well organized by topic
contribs - for things that have been adapted to the distro and can be pulled in directly
FAQ

Excellent point. I suggest we create a How-To page in the wiki sorted alphabetically. I think contribs.org is a reasonable template to start with as they have a large number of how-to's.

I'm happy to help set this up. I'll bring it up in IRC.

Once done, I would move my own How-To's to this wiki.

brfransen is clearly on the ball. There is a How-to section called "Guide" on the wiki. This is where how-to's should go.

Added new content -- documented my strategy for recording from Comcast here.
