| Post subject: | No X11 for me to edit for Nvidia card |
I have followed the directions as best as I can and now I am ready to connect my machine to a TV, however, I have one step left. According to all of the info I have to edit for my Nvidia TV out the file inside etc/x11/ unfortunately I don't have an X11 directory. Am I doing something wrong? Should I have this directory? |

nevermind, I am new to Linux didn't realize everything was case sensitive. Now I have to figure out how to edit this file. Oh well I will get it thanks anyway |

vi /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 use arrow keys to move press i to enter insert mode press ESC to leave insert mode type :w to save type :q to quit type :q! to quit w/o saving |

also if you just type vimtutor it will teach you how to use vi. |

VI is excelent to know. Because its everywhere BUT, nano is excelent to use.. IT looks more similar to msdos or edit.com Code: apt-get update Code: apt-get install nano
i still use vi every no and then.. but nano is my first choice |
