ok, iv recently changed the way i get program info for the epg (dvb grab)and since iv got that working iv lost live tv and the ability to watch previous records, this all did work before, and i can still watch films on the drive. can anyone recomend anything to check before i wipe the lot and start again !! its driving me nuts ! 7NIF2 mobo using all onboard stuff hauppauge win nova t dvb card thanks |

can you tell me where the log file is, sorry im still pretty new to this linux thing thanks |

The backend log is in /var/log/mythtv/. A search of the forum will give more info on troubleshoting this as will the Mythtv docs. |

well three things to look at. /var/log/messages /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log and if those don't tell you anything run mythfrontend from an xterm after you have experianced the problem exit out of mythfrontend and see what kind of errors are in the xterm. |
