I would like to suggest the alsa-util package or atleast the alsactl command. I needed it to adjust the volumn of my sound card. Thank you, Newton |

I normally just apt-get install alsautils everytime I install KnoppMyth. Unfortunately it messes up my system such that I can't apt-get install any other package after that but at least it allows me to alsactl store my alsamixer settings. |

it doesnt have to be that way: apt-get install alsautils dpkg -i --force-overwrite THE NAme of the file that it errored on apt-get -f thats the jist, i always forget the sintax of allot of this stuff, but every new box i install alsautils and apt-get isnt broken afterwards. |
