Are there any source packages for download?

I am trying to patch libmythtv-0.16 to fix a bug that hangs edit mode when using PVR-350 tv-out. I tried recompiling from the mythtv-0.16 sources in /usr/src/r4v5_src/mythtv-0.16/src but I end up with undefined symbols about xvmc.

I have mythtv-i686-lirc-xvmc_0.16-1_i386 installed so I guess I would need that source package. I tried apt-get source not to avail

Does the PVR-350 use xvmc? I know that nvidia cards do, and the integrated video on EPIA mainboards do, but I was unaware that the Hauppage card used xvmc.

Yes, I have an Nvidia card along with the PVR, that's why I'm using the xvmc version. The thing is I need to recompile mythtv libs with that patch and I need the settings used to build it for the knoppmyth package I have installed.

no it does not use xvmc, and if you do not have the nvidia drivers installed you will not be able to compile with the xmvc option turned on in the settings.pro file. The source that is on the disk is all the source there is. the different packages are merely the source compiled with different options, which can be set in the settings.pro file. my guess would be the last package cesman compiled was the xvmc package, and he just left the settings.pro file set that way.

The settings.pro in the source package is dated Sep 7, I don't think it is the one cesman used.

I guess I still don't get it. You're complaining about the TV-out on the 350 card hangs, but you're using an nVidia card for output. Which is it? I'm not aware of anyone who has two video outputs working (at least without a TwinView or such card).

Is this a PVR-350 issue or an nVidia issue? If you're using nVidia, the TV-out on the PVR-350 is never used, so you will never hang your system with it. If you're using the PVR-350, then you do not need to compile with XvMC because you'll never use it with the 350. What am I not understanding?

My Nvidia doesn't have tv-out I just have it there so the computer boots.

mythtv 0.16 hangs when entering edit mode on a pvr-350 tv out. It is a known bug fixed on CVS (see http://cvs.mythtv.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.c ... Player.cpp)
