Just a word of warning Cesman does not like questions on this subject. I think we are all eagerly awaiting the release but it will be done when it's done. :D

Is there anybody who enjoys the "ARE WE THERE YET???" questions like this? ;-)

Chill out people. It'll happen when it happens. In the meantime don't pester the nice developers, at least not if you want them to stay nice. ;-)

What I would like to know is whether it will have a 2.6 based kernel. I have seen people request it but I do not know whether the requests will be honored. Does anyone know the answer.

I'm trying to get a DVB card going (The Australian version of thr DVICO FusionHDTV) and I'm having trouble trying to upgrade from R4V3. I have a friend with the same card who installed MythTV on Fedora Core 2 and he was able to get his working.

I would prefer to stay with knoppmyth if I can.

Send me a million dollars and I'll answer all R5 questions.

Cool! I'll give my two weeks notice on Monday. Now I can start to work on KnoppMyth full time and churn out new releases every month. Perhaps with a million, I can get newegg, tigerdirect or someone else to not ignore my emails when I write about them about a KnoppMyth Reference Platform. Hell, with a mill, I can start my own hardware company! I certainly hope you aren't kidding as I'm getting really excited about working on KnoppMyth full time. BTW: All the questions about KnoppMyth in this thread has been answered before. When it comes to R5, all I ask is to be left alone to work it... It is already in alpha. When the beta is ready, it will be annouced to all and tested for an extended period before release.

Speaking of NewEgg... Have they been sverely DOS'ed for the last week or so, or is just me? I've been trying to get though from both home and work to try to spec out the hardware upgrade and having ZERO luck. :? :( :x

newegg is working fine for me right now, but I did notice that you have to use www.newegg.com just newegg.com won't work. Pretty shoddy for an operation their size.

Bizzaro land, I just tried NewEgg with a different browser (mozilla vs. my usual galeon) and it popped right up... :?
