| Post subject: | Best and quietest cooling suggestions |
I am trying to find out what solutions you all have come up with for a good quiet cooling solution. I have seen some expensive fanless cpu coolers, wondering if they are any good. Right now I have a stock Athlon CPU fan and one of those "supposed to be" quiet PCI slot type fans. The PCI slot fan keeps things cool, but is loud, even the stock CPU fan is too load for me. I want to be able to have something that is quiet and keeps things cool. Any ideas would help. What have my fellow mythtvers found for this solution? Thanks in advance |

i use this case: http://www.shopgenie.co.uk/theme_theme_ ... e_page_1_/ you cant even hear it if you standing next to it.. i love it. the main thing that allows it to be really quite is that it uses low speed fans. You can get away with this if you have plenty of low speed fans, and good flow through. Also i llove this case because they even thought of little things like rubber mounts ffor the hard drives. But low db fans are the ticket. so in short.. plenty of space and low speed fans moving the air is my 2 cents. |
