| Post subject: | Do I need a backend if I don't do TV recordings? |
I know this is a total newbie question, but I wasn't able to find a straight answer. I'm planning on using KnoppMyth purely as a media player (mp3s, videos, and maybe some mame). I have successfully installed it, but it keeps bugging me that it can't find a backend. When I launch the backend, it tells me it can't find a capture card (no kidding, I don't have one) and exits. Will I be able to use the front end fine for what I want to do, or does it assume that I have a backend running? |
