I realize that Longhorn isnt out yet. I understand that you prefer not to answer questions of this nature. However it is a new year and I figured that perhaps I could coax an R5 update out of you guys. I ask out of love.....for KM. :wink:

For those that don't know... I've stated that R5 will be released before Longhorn.

Building a distro from scratch isn't easy, we are working on it.

Take all the time you need guys, we all know how sh*tty it is when micro$oft releases their latest and greatest OS only to release a torrent of security/functionality patches weeks later.

Is there somewhere where we can see a list of what will be in the next releases? And which one of these forums is appropriate for making requests for the next release?

If it is here I was wondering if it was possible to have SMP enabled in the kernel compile.

Yes. With more P4 "hyperthreaded" processors out there this makes sense.

[WARNING, THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL THREAD SO DON'T EVEN START!]

If you've ever been to FreeRepublic.com and watched the forums for when trolls come out to bait the diehard freepers, they have what is called the "viking kitty" and the "ZOT". Basically its a countdown until the troll gets blasted by lightning from the viking kitty (banned from the website by the admin team). Yes, it makes no sense but it is funny as heck.

Nonsensical posts get a picture with a "bunny a pancake on its head". Don't ask me why, its just hilarious.

Maybe KnoppMyth forums need an equivalent for the "forbidden question". We could have a countdown for when the next person that asks it gets blasted to pieces by Cecil, Cesman, or whoever. Maybe just to take the edge off with some humor. Thoughts, ideas, pictures?

How about Thor with a KnoppMyth Hammer?

R5? -> *! (thats a splat with emphasis)

Hilarious!

Andrew Lynch

PS, having posted my own stupid things on this forum (this may be one of them) I can relate to asking the wrong question.

:-)

PS, KnoppMyth Rocks! I don't care, I love V4R5!

Feature requests are no longer being accepted.
