If I use the PVR-350 AV out will I see the MythTV on the tv or just what I have recorded?
I have not managed to get the nVidia tv-out working yet....

Excellent.... I have an nVidia based card (Hercules 3D Prophet II GTS 32Mb) that the installation doesn't pic up as nVidia... I was losing both the Monitor and no TV at all from the TV-Out port of the nVida card...now I know that the PVR-350 will let me see X I shall dump the card and use the on-board SiS without TV-out. Cheers!!!!!! |

Cheers! You should note that will not output anything until X starts and TV out on the 350 can be problematic. |

Now you tell me! 
I shall persevere without the nVidia card for now... Is there a gfx card that is dirt cheap with TV-out that you know will work okay with the distro? |

anything nvidia should work fine. |
