Front End:

Do a 'CD front-end' only style install to a hard disk (just about works with auto-install already, but you have to disable mythbackend, mysql etc, and force the config script to run for the cd-install (e,g set back-end IP etc) as it's not *exactly* the same as a cd-only install.

then when the install is working properly and the user has tinkered with it(e.g I've logged in , downloaded some packages, done some samba mounts, done some nfs to the back-end and tested it) Allow me to select 'Make ISO of this configuration' , which creates an ISO of the working install, so I can make my own knoppmyth CD's and then boot off that for a robust (diskless) front-end. - could even allow them to burn it as well to an attached cd-r, but most would probably settle for an .ISO file to burn on another PC..

I think the only bits that are missing to do this are the ability to make an ISO copy of the hard-disk install, e.g some scripts to setup the ramdisk and make the filesystem read-only and 'cd-friendly', but that's all done already by the CD anyway, so I guess I'm just asking for a scripted version of what you guys do to make the 'front-end only' option on the CD to make our own.

CD-Rom based front-end could be installed, and configured, then the configs SAVED to CD, these ISO's could also be downloaded by other knoppix users and used with their setups if they wanted?
