Just want to give a big thanks to all who contributed to R5C7. Installing that is one of the best things I did to my Myth Box. Real easy! One more step towards an official, tweak-free install! Asus A7N8X-E board w/ 2200+ PVR-350 w/Hauppauge Silver Remote Comcast Analog TV Input The biggest hurdle always was the 350's tweaking which I always had to fix using the snapperdragon script. That step was now no longer needed thanks to the autodetection in installation. This is the first Myth Install that I was able to watch TV Immediately after initial setup. I'm glad I finally made it to Tier 1! Thanks! Some tweaks I did do: 1) Set up IR Blaster to work with a Dish Network Receiver in place of analog comcast. Working in no time thanks to Greg Frost. 2) Samba setup to share w/windows box 3) Mplayer upgrade to watch movie files 4) Firefox + plugins installed in place of MythBrowser for added functionality. 5) Mythstream installed using supplied script. All in all, I'm very pleased with where I am now. Only took 2 days total to be where I am with the added tweaks (research and implementation). Thank you everyone for your help and support! Tim |
