my mythtv configuration.

Post subject:  my mythtv configuration.
case: Coolermaster ATC-620C-BX1
mobo: Asus A7N8X-VM/400 (Highly recommended. Nice board!! has built in audio/video/lan/tv-out)
cpu: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton"
mem: Kingston HyperX 512
drive: Plextor internal DVD±RW Drive
powersupply: Fortron 350W ATX12V Power Supply
Tvcard: Hauppauge PVR-250

I had to do these small tweaks to get this working completely.

1. PVR-250

Change /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv

replace options tuner type=2
with
options ivtv card=85 type=39
options tuner type=39

2. lirc changes to get my remote working..

replaced /etc/lircd.conf file with this file:

3. Plextor dvd region set..

My brand new dvd drive didnt play DVDs. I ran region-set program to fix this.

4. Install growisofs program for burning dvds.

So, does that board have an Svideo out port or are using some sort of VGA>Svideo cable? The only reason I ask is because I can't find a good picture of that board that shows a tv-out. Thanks.

I found this mobo via a posting that tjc did on an sub $600 MythTv system: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 051&depa=0

And for $72, that's not a bad deal.

I have the same hardware but I am having problems getting the channels to change and the remote does not work at all. I followed your directions but the remote doesn't respond, any suggestions out there.
