IBM PC model PL300 Intel 440BX chipset
with a HD3000.

R5A12 worked like a charm. Ran auto install, in mythtv-setup filled out the database info to point back to my master backend, checked the mysql.txt and just needed to add a pchdtv card type. It was that easy. Just like a PVR250 install.

I went to the bother of installing the DVB drivers for HD3000, but that was just 'cause my system already has the air2pc dvb drivers in it; but I really didn't have to, the card worked just fine with the stock drivers that came with R5A12.

Oh, and that is enough horsepower for a slave backend.

Two questions, How much memory and what percentage is the CPU being utilized??? I have an old PII-400 board lying around that I had tried to use as a front end. It would be cool to see if I could use two HD-3000's in a remote backend right where my antenna comes in to maximize my signal.

196Meg (what I already had in there). I'll check the percentage when I get back to my myth system.

I'm pretty surprised this worked. I was trying to get a backend working with a celeron 466 on an abit bm6(440bx chipset). The HD-3000 was never recognized on that system. I have no problem with it in a newer system.

When I went back and read the specs on the 440bx chipset, I found out it was only pci 2.1. The hd-3000 requires pci 2.2.
