I tried to get Myth TV compiled from scratch after installing Slackware 9.1 and I have been working on it for about two weeks. In my quest through various links and message boards I found KnoppixMyth, and I was up and running in about 2 hours. THANK YOU!!

Well Here is my config, plus the prices I paid:
    Shuttle SN41G2 XPC - purchased at NewEgg.com for $209
512MB Crucial Stick of Ram - purchased at Newgg.com for $75
    Athlon 2500 XP - purcased at NewEgg.com for $85
Newegg.com was running a special on the Xpc and had free shipping
Western Digtial 120 GB harddrive - purchased at Best Buy for $70 after mail-in rebate
Hauppauge PVR-250 OEM (MCE) - bought on ebay for $96 shipped
Creative DVD-Rom - I had laying around from an old PC
Packard Bell Remote/Serial IR sensor - I haven't tried getting this to work yet, but I bought it on ebay for $10 total

Everything works great so far. I still have some other things in mind, like possibly adding samba mounting, so I can send video off to my PC that has a DVD burner. My next step is to try and get my keyboard and mouse out of my living room and get lirc working. I am also curious if I can get my TV-Out working on this MCE version of the PVR-250....

Also, as a side note, this is the email I got from my wife, the day after I hooked everything up, I thought someone geeky like me might enjoy this:

I just wanted to let you know that I'm baking those cookies you like... the
ones with the reece's peanut butter cups and chocolate drizzle on them...
But none for You!!!! Why? BECAUSE YOUR WIFE CANNOT EVEN WATCH A DVD! Why?
Because there's no plugs left! Why? Because every electronic device known to
man kind AND aliens is plugged into the wall in our living room!!! And even
if I unplug something, I have no clue how to watch a DVD anymore. I had just figured out how to watch a DVD, but now we have MORE stuff hooked up!
I'll let you know how the cookies turn out! :)~
Your loving wife.

Thanks guys!!

LMAO that is hilarious.

I'm about 99% sure that the mce edition does not have video out or if it does the video out does not have hardware decode. I thought the pvr250mce was just that a pvr250 only the pvr350 has the tvout with hardware decoding.

Yea, I did some more research today. It looks like all of these ports on the MCE card are inputs, not outputs. It has an S-Vid and the Yellow, Red, and White RCA inputs... oh well.

Using the GeForce TV-out isn't the best quality, but its not the worst either.....
