I got my new hard drive - seagate barracuda 250gb I decided to do a fresh install on this new hard disk. And the machine is running alot better. the old drive was a old clunky one and slow. Its now alot quieter, live tv and mythtv seems to run alot smoother. hope this helps someone out there.
