Not sure how many people around here would be trying to run KnoppMyth on >4 year old hardware, but my roommate told me yesterday that his IBM ThinkPad T22 (Pentium III 933, 256 MB RAM, S3 Savage IX-8+ (8 MB VRAM)) works just fine booted from the R5A30.1 CD. He just has to specify the resolution at the boot prompt.

His newer ThinkPad T42, on the other hand, boots and runs, but the ATi Mobility Radeon 9600 (64 MB) isn't detected correctly and ends up using the vesa driver. So his newer and significantly more powerful laptop ends up running much slower. Go figure.

But... Good news for anyone here that might have a laptop otherwise only suitable for use as a doorstop.
