Post subject:  R5B7 Dell dimension 4600 with 2x Hauppauge Nova-T

Dell Dimension 4600
P4 2.8GHz
1Gb ram
GeForce FX5200 (256Mb)
Soundblaster Audigy 4
2x Hauppauge DVB Nova-T (using silver remote)
Seagate barracuda 80Gb hdd (currently will replace with larger one later)

Installed and ran fine. Tuning the cards is a bit hit and miss here, but that's not Myth's fault! :)

Only fiddly bit for me was the remote (or I think more accurately the remote combined with the Nova-T DVB card), which was fixed in my case by:
    1) untar lirc
    2) run ./setup.sh
    In the setup program select option 1-'Driver config', then option 0-'Other', then option 6-'/dev/input/eventX', followed by option 3-'save and configure'
    type 'make' then 'make install'
    3) Edit hardware.conf to look like this:
    Code:
    # /etc/lirc/hardware.conf
    #
    # Arguments which will be used when launching lircd
    LIRCD_ARGS=""

    #Don't start lircmd even if there seems to be a good config file
    START_LIRCMD=false

    #Try to load appropriate kernel modules
    LOAD_MODULES=true

    # Run "lircd --driver=help" for a list of supported drivers.
    DRIVER="dev/input"
    # If DEVICE is set to /dev/lirc and devfs is in use /dev/lirc/0 will be
    # automatically used instead
    DEVICE="/dev/input/event2"
    MODULES="lirc_dev lirc_i2c"

    4) Reboot.

    5) Use lircd.conf and lircrc files from mad_paddler's post at the end of pg3 here: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6232&start=30

All in all a clean install, and way simpler/easier than trying to install MythTV in a normal linux installation. :)

Where are you in the world? If it's in Europe then the tuning issue is a known Myth problem. It's been fixed and will be released in Myth 0.20!
Until then we've gotta hang in there.

Yep, UK.
Cool - looking forward to 0.20 in that case. :)
