Hi all, I have had a few years out of my viewsonic m2000 (see this link for details of hardware http://www.viewsonic.com/support/tventertainment/digitalmediacenter/m2000/ ) Tried Knoppmyth R5D1 and the install was great. BTW... these units still sell for cheap on ebay. barebones refurbs to complete units. After install I had to get the sound working which involved running alsa-autoconfig and alsa mixer and un-muting and raising some levels. The otherthing to setup was the (version 1???) MCE remote. Although I had selected mceremote during setup. lircrc was for the silver hauppauge remote. I just did the Code: cp /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/mceusb2/etc/lircd.conf /etc/lircd.conf
cp /usr/local/share/knoppmyth/remotes/mceusb2/etc/lircrc /home/mythtv/.mythtv/ made sure the clock was set right and after a reboot, all was runnning well. I like it very much. So much that I may transplant all the guts into a nicer type media case. Kind regards! |
