All, I got it to work. I turned a sow's ear into a silk purse. Pentium II, 400Mhz, 192Mb 6Gb drive, built-in video, sound, CD and Ethernet. Added AverTV Stereo card and ATI Rage Pro 8Mb PCI Also a serial port home-brew IR receiver Had to implement a number of fixes, including the one for the dark red picture. That was fun to hunt down! Thanks for the writeup! My brother-in-law asked me yesterday if he could get Knoppmyth up on an old 700mhz box with an old bttv card. I told him that I thought he'd have problems with it, but your writeup has given me hope! |
