Here are the complete specs:

Dell Dimension L1000r
1 GHz
128 MB RAM
120 GB HD
Hauppauge PVR-350 (w/ silver remote)
TRENDware TEW-423PI PCI wireless card
Ensoniq soundcard

The only thing you should be aware of is that while the old TRENDware 423PI cards had native linux support with the acx100 driver (http://acx100.sourceforge.net/), the one I got (rev 03) does not have the same chipset and therefore can't use the acx100/acx111 driver. Intead I had to use ndiswrapper, which I was trying to avoid. Either way the wireless still works.

I followed the 350 howto found at http://www.knoppmythwiki.org. This worked very well. One thing to keep in mind is that the tuner type SHOULD be commented out in your /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file. This is because R5A16 detects the correct card. There are a lot of posts in here about older versions of Knoppmyth and setting the tuner type but it is unneccessary with the new version.

Getting the Remote to work took some tinkering. R5A16 comes with lirc-0.7.1 preinstalled. The silver remotes are supposed to work with this lirc version, but they don't. To fix this you need to remove 0.7.1 by typing
#apt-get remove lirc
and then following the directions here http://www.mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4609&highlight=lirc+silver+remote
. After removing 0.7.1 and following these intructions my remote worked.

There are still some things I am working out but this was mainly the hardware problems i encountered. I need to remap some remote buttons, fix the TV width/height and offsets, and fix the programming information.
