Anywho, I connected the DIN connector of the pvr350 to an RF modulator (composite ports) and from there to the coax in my tv. tv-out worked with the older ivtv 0.3.3u drivers but NOT with the 0.4 tarball. I had to upgrade the drivers to 0.4 (except the ivtvdev driver for the tv-out, for which I'm using 0.3.3) and also the firmware in order to get it to work with both the PVR150 & 350. HAd to manually config the XFree86Config-4 as per the Knoppmythwiki instructions. No major hiccups there.

Wierdness with the remote. It was the Hauppauge Silver remote (which requires patching and recompiling lirc) & I thought it was the default grey remote that they ship with the pvr350 which is supposed to work off the box in Knoppmyth. Frankly I can't tell the difference between the 2. Anywho I patched and recompiled lirc as per Knoppmythwiki (The wiki was extremely helpful no doubt abt that). I had to tweak the lircrc key-bindings.

Mplayer doesn't work with the tv-out, but xine works fine (had to add xine keybindings in lirc, but pinched the file off of a poster in this fine forum). Needs that verboten library if you wanna play commercial dvds tho :)

Sound works fine thru the tv-out when playing live TV. Again, followed knoppmythwiki for setting aumix. Can't get to pipe other sound (cd's, xine videos, dvd's etc) thru tv-out, but pipes thru soundcard. Workaround: My roommate had speakers to spare :)
