I verified that keyboard works in bios.. just not boot.. anyone know of a log to check for keyboard?? any ideas

Check the keyboard configuration in your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file. I'm guessing that you copied it from somewhere else or changed something else between the initial install and the final system...

the wierd thing is the system has been up for a couple months.. no problems.. all i did was shut it down and took the haupauge card out.. then on next boot bam.. no keyboard.. Not too big of deal.. the remote works.. and ill hold out for r5, then just reload it. course if anyone has any  's let me know. :)

well can help you on how to fix the no-keyboard problem, as mine is still not working. I have pretty much accepted the fact i will need to reload. but if you can use putty to be your keyboard, and set it to display on the TV. I wrote howto somewhere on this thread, its basicly just export display. i cant remember the exact syntax.
