I wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me get this thing up and running - many of which I never had even one message exchange with. The amount of information on these boards certainly can get just about any problem taken care if you're willing to dig through it! And I'm truly a Linux newb, so that speaks a lot - today I recompiled ivtv, and fixed the last of my problems by looking for answers on here. Whew!

I only ran into one thing I couldn't find immediate answers on, and it was a hardware problem specific to my install. And believe me, I hit quite a few snags
