I have noticed something strange happening with mythfilldatabase running. Every 7th day it seems that mythfilldatabase runs, but does not inserts new data. Per Mythweb it states that There's guide data for only 13 days (12 days, 11 days, etc). This will continue until I Force mythfilldatabase to run.

Code:
Last mythfilldatabase run started on 2012-10-31 07:57:10 and ended on 2012-10-31 07:57:37. Successful.
There's guide data until 2012-11-14 06:00 (14 days).
DataDirect Status: Your subscription expires on Wed Jun 19 (2013) 5:52 PM

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Ok, so still working on this problem.
Code:
Last mythfilldatabase run started on 2012-11-04 02:48:57 and ended on 2012-11-04 02:59:35. Successful.
There's guide data until 2012-11-18 04:00 (13 days).

I have also noticed that the Job Queue is back logged with jobs from Friday at 9:00am.

Running mythfilldatabase manually corrected the problem, but I noticed the following error when mythfilldatabase completed.
Quote:
Application asked to unregister timer 0x22000001 which is not registered in this thread. Fix application.

Any thoughts?

Latest error when running mythfilldatabase
Code:
QObject::startTimer: Qtimer can only be used with threads started with QThread

Running
Code:
mythfilldatabase --dd-grab-all --nodblog -v file,network --loglevel debug --logpath /tmp
I received no errors, and nothing looks sketchy in the log file (to me).

I also noticed the the mythfilldatabase log file has not been updated since September 2012, around the same time I upgraded to R7.3/4. Looking at the Myth-Setup>General>Program Schedule Downloading Options page I noticed that there was no option for the log. I added
Code:
--quiet -v --logpath /var/log/mythtv
to the "Guide data arguments: section. I also added a new log file to /etc/logrotate.d, mythfilldatabase.lr
Code:
/var/log/mythtv/mythfilldatabase.log {
   copytruncate
   daily
   size 10M
   missingok
   rotate 7
   compress
   notifempty
}

All I can do now is wait and check the log file, if the options work.

Latest Log. Looking through it it seems that data is not being downloaded from Schedule Directs.

I have read that I should try changing/updating my password, and make sure my username does not have any symbols in it. I will give this a try.

Try clearing out your /tmp dir.
Couple weeks ago 3 or 4 people had similar problems with mythfilldatabase and clearing out /tmp worked for them.

If this happens now ... the problem is because of this:

this problem will be fixed I the 8.2 update.. from https://www.mythtv.org/news/163/Notice% ... ct%20users
Quote:
Notice to Schedules Direct users
As many of you will be aware, Schedules Direct are making some changes to their data feed. This is nothing to be alarmed about, as long as you update to the latest release of MythTV (0.27.4) everything will continue to work as it always has. There have been many scare stories and false reports in the last few weeks and we want you to know that all that is changing is the address of the server from which MythTV retrieves the guide data. This change has already been made and many people are already using the new address.

Unfortunately it seems this change was mixed with news of an entirely new JSON feed from Schedules Direct. This feed brings some minor improvements to the Schedules Direct service, but MythTV has decided not to use it at this time. An unofficial MythTV grabber was released by Schedules Direct for this new feed without consultation with the MythTV team. Please do not use this grabber!. It inserts data directly into the MythTV database, bypassing MythTV's ability to sanity check, correct and act upon information at a single point of insertion. We will be unable to assist users who run this grabber if they encounter bugs or broken features as a result.

So let me repeat, if you upgrade to MythTV 0.27.4 you will continue to use Schedules Direct with no further action required on your behalf. Do not use any of the other unofficial solutions such as the 'JSON' grabber from Schedules Direct.
