Hi,

Got a couple of the Leadtek DTV2000DS Plus cards here, and am trying to get them working with R8?

It appears they are based on the RTL2832u which is not yet supported by the drivers in R8.

There are a couple of "hacks" around the place for Ubuntu and such which purport to get them to work, but alas there seems to be other issues one they are compiled.

I've tried the OpenPLI from here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/dvb- ... u-openpli/ which compile, but won't insert.

I've also grabbed the latest v4l and managed to get it to compile, but it won't insert.

Has anyone get one of these working with R8?

I found this on Leadtek's website http://www.leadtek.com/eng/product/6/62 ... cification
Quote:
Graphics drivers must include DirectX 8.1 software Video Standards

That might be the hang up since DirectX is a Microsoft product.

Supposedly RTL2832u works with Kernel 3.10.12. Right now R8 is Kernel 3.6.7-1-Arch
