Please tell us how and where the install fails. You telling us "it doesn't work" isn't much help.

Change /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
to
Option "XkbLayout" "se"

Restart X-server

Sorry.''

I've been trying to install it with Swedish keyboard but I guess I do something wrong.

When installing I try to use Loadkeys se (this must be wrong)
(I hope I remember this correctly)

I also tried other Sewdish keymap-names that I found in usr/share/keymaps/ (I found them here after auto install)
But no success

I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure it out.

I hope you can tell me what I'm doing wrong

Have a nice day

the loadkeys command looked right to me, it works on most linux systems.. I've tried loading be (belgium) keyboard as well using the loadkeys command. But that command don't work and I gave up, since I know how to use azerty and qwerty.. though it is very confusing at times (not using a remote, just a rf keyboard (still looking for the right remote, may even go for another keyboard)

I even tried the lang=be cheatcode at boot when I installed knoppmyth, since it is supported by some knoppix (not all)

knopppmyth is supposed to work with remotes, so the keyboard layout is not a priority. I understand the logic, but I believe this to be wrong, since knoppmyth is become more of a mediacentre then just a pvr. I know this is still a work in progress and I am allready happy with how it works. Just think a keyboard might be better then a remote..

We are getting past the installation issue. Start a new thread in the appropriate area.
