I am able to install R5B7, but when I try to install R5C7 I get errors after the install script completes, during the first bootup when it is tring to install the nvidia drivers. If I log in to the console and enter the "install-nvidia-devian.sh 1.0-6629 (or 1.0-7174) I get the following errors:

Quote:
*** Unable to determine the target kernel version. ***

There is also a reference to the effects that "/lib/modules/2.6.15-chw-2/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko' : no such file"

The funny part is that R5C7 installed successfully once. I then tried an auto upgrade and from that point forward I hvae gotten the error messages. Even when I try a clean reinstall.

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

marc

Problem solved. While I had successfully used this R5C7 CD a week earlier, and it passed the "testcd" today, it looks like the CD had gone bad. I burned a new image from the same download and the problem is not happening anymore.
