If you are using Internet Explorer (IE) to access mythweb, and you find that it takes a looonnnggg time for those screens to come up, this tip may help you.

IE has a "known-problem" with performance when it's cache of temporary internet files gets very large. Cleaning up the cache has a dramatic impact on performance. To empty the cache of temp internet files, do the fillowing:

1. From the menu bar select Tools->Internet Options...
2. Towards the center of the dialogue box, in the section labeled "Temporary Internet Files" there is a button lableled "delete files...". Click on that button.
3. Select the option that says "delete all offline content".
4. Click "OK" on all open dialogue boxes.
5. Close all IE windows and restart it.

Since you have not deleted your cookies, you will still be recognized at the various sites you visit on a regular basis.

While I havn't used a stop watch to clock it, it reduces the time to bring up mythweb screens from 10--20 seconds down to 2-5 seconds.
