I've been trying to install KnoppMyth R5D1 to my laptop without success. I have only USB cd-rom and KnoppMyth complains something like "Can't find knoppix filesystem". I tried installing Debian with USB cd-rom and it worked without problem. KnoppMyth installation CD is also working, tried with another pc and everything went smoothly.

Any ideas how to install KnoppMyth to my system? I have USB harddisk (in addition to laptop's built-in harddisk) in case it can be somehow used to make the installation successfull.

I have R5D1 running on my desktop PC and like it a lot, that's why i would want to have it also on my laptop.

Thanks!

I use to use a usb cd-rom on my knoppmyth box. Unfortuently as you have seen it doesn't work with the newer versions of knoppmyth.

So there are no tricks to do to get it working?

I wonder why usb-cdrom support has been removed, any chance to include it to some coming release?

I don't think is was knowingly removed. I think there is somthing wrong with the kernel modules that are loading off the live CD. You can try booting with the "expert" option and messing with which modules to load to see if you can fix it. I didn't do that because I used a USB keyboard which also stopped working, because of the same problem I'm sure.
