I have a mix of OS to. I use EMIII to monitor most of my clients. It uses SMB on both windows and linux. Quick tip: if your running the folding app as root and open the share using a different user, you won't be able to see the progress. If you run the app with the same user you access the share with you can.

You can also find some other clients here

I'm pretty sure that's a limitation of Windows not being able to handle more than that number of network connections. I'm having issues already with 6 :(

Made it to #400, seems out mighty folding leader has hit 1,000,000 points.

The new team members have moved us up to the 62th most productive team, out of over 45,000.

Something I thought worth mentioning about performance impact of F@H.

I've never notice any difference in performance while using myth, but I think the real proof is that I also run Asterisk on this box, and I've never noticed any call degredation or jitter while it's running F@H.

is there an AIX client for this stuff?

I got a 6 way and a 4 way box just sitting idle.. wouldn't mind putting them through their paces for a while.

18000 knoppmyth users and only 13 with a myth box with extra cycles?

those not involved, read the websites, the goal is to benefit research into diseases that are caused by misbehaving proteins....things like Lou Geriggs desease (ALS) and such.

if you have a box dedicated to mythtv (90% of you do) why not run the simple client that will not degrade your system's performance (runs at minimum nice level) and may help others.

top of thread has EASY howto steps

I would probably do it, but can't be bothered setting it up. Someone motivated needs to write a script that automatically sets it up as part of the knoppmyth team and submit the script for inclusion in knoppmyth. You might find the takeup is much better if, during the install, you are prompted "Would you like to use the spare cycles that your machine would otherwise waste to help cure diseases? System performance will not be degraded, and you can always opt out at a later date if you wish by running disable_folding_at_home.sh"

we could almost make the top 200 teams by years end .. and it only took us 5 months

Well done everyone

You've done the lion's share, but all in all everyone has done well. It will be nice to break the top 200, but we'll be there for a while before the top 100 is broken... unless we get some new recruits.
