I use the default (just blank frame) commercial flagging option, which sometimes marks the commercials incorrectly. Due to it not being 100%, I haven't tried the more advanced options because they force you to enable automatic commercial skipping.

I was wondering what commercial skipping options everyone was using. Do you have the auto-skip enabled?

I'm using "All Available Methods" and yes, we have auto-skip enabled on our frontends. I don't typically watch the recordings, but nobody in the house is yelling at me regarding commercials or missing parts of their shows, so I assume it's OK

I personally left it at the default, whatever it happens to be.

Certain shows I do toggle it off while watching though, otherwise it skips some of the show.

I usually turn off the autoskip during the last few minutes because I usually do want to see the previews for the next episode. If I'm not careful, it skips right past those and exits, forcing me to go back in and fast skip through most of it.

I haven't researched yet if there is a way to turn off autoskip for the last 5 minutes always somehow, or if I can assign the toggle to a button.

I started using the "Experimental" method recently.

It's hard to say if it is working better or worse - it varies quite a bit show to show.

I don't think it is working any worse than the older methods... But I wanted to give it a try to see if it would improve accuracy.

I stuck to blank frame detection for cpu-usage reasons. If you set it to use all methods it takes awhile especially on slower machines like VIA cpus.
