I was wondering if anyone out there has had any luck getting the new version of knoppmyth working with the fussy Dvico Plus rev 2 cards.

To give you an idea... this is what I have done so far.

Standard install of 5E50 works fine, everything works except the tuning of certain channels. This is a known issue with the default drivers for Dvico FusionHDTV Plus (ZL10353) rev 2 card.

To install the latest ChirsP drivers you need a 2.6.19 kernel.

Steps I have used so far.
1. Upgrade kernel to 2.6.19.7 using "make oldconfig" "make" "make modules_install". (works as expected no X and dvico drivers half work properly on reboot)
2. Instal nvidia kernel patch 9755 and reboot. (fixes X) Making sure to remove the auto-regression scripting done by knoppmyth.
3. Install ChrisP's latest dvico drivers. Installs fine, once manually loaded it can dvbscan all channels perfectly.

My currentl problems are...
- ChrisP's drivers currently have issues loading on boot. Known issue, Need to load them with modprobe.
- Myth-setup is not detecting the v4l dvb /dev/dvb/adaptor0 (my big problem). It doesn't even give it as an option, all it gives is the /dev/video0.

Other problem I have not related to topic
- DVI > HDMI modelines for http://www.samsung.com/au/products/tv/l ... 2r71bd.asp (I haven't played with this much yet, currently working at 800x600 but I want it to run at a 16:9 resolution)

I am thinking it probably has something to do with ChrisP's drivers not loading properly on boot and upsetting mythtv.

Any suggestions?
What controls the list of devices you can use in mythtv-setup?

Just to bump and clarify the important question...

In Mythtv-setup what gets probed to allow the cards to be selected? ie.

2. Capture Cards - New Capture Card - Card Type - does not let me select dvb cards.
