has anyone figured out how to modify myt2xvid3 to use filenames other than the default 1005_2007etc..etc..etc..?

Granted I havent even really spent any time looking at it, just wanted to see if anyone tackled this yet before i dig into it.

If I come up with something, I'll be sure to post it here.

I had this working the way you described with a slightly older version of the script.... I would have to log into a buddies system and take a look.....

If there is no reply to this by the time I get home I will peek at his settings and post the changes required (Its good that youve asked as I need to make this change on my new R5F27 install as well)

By default nuvexport will use "Title - Subtile" for the filename but for some reason the person who wrote this script explicitly sets the title to the cryptic chanid_starttime.

Look for the spot in the script where nuvexport is called and delete this from the argument list:

--filename=$chanid\_$start.$portable

Done. I'll test when I get home.

Thanks so much.

That's basically what I had done. I think I didn't simply delete the chan_ID stuff, but I had subbed in something else for the filename as well.

Here is where I changed my myt2xvid3 to make it give me pretty filenames.

Down in #Encode for Protable section.
Find the line # Use nuvexport to do the work

The next line after that here is my original line as I state in the comment.
# Original $cmd = "/usr/local/bin/nuvexport --chanid=$chanid --start=$start $nuvoptions --filename=$chanid\_$start.$portable --path=$feedpath";

I changed that line to this one >

$cmd = "/usr/local/bin/nuvexport --chanid=$chanid --start=$start $nuvoptions --path=$feedpath";

That $cmd to the ; is all one line. Watch for strange wraps and line breaks if you cut and paste this.

fwiw, mine is /usr/local/bin/myt2xvid3

hth.
