In the last month or so, I've been seeing video shutters during TV Recordings Playback. The shutter I see are artifacts from previous frames and they flash over the current video frames and continue to flash. The way I correct this is by pressing Pause. This seems to get the video back in sync. I then press Pause again and the TV Recording Playback goes back to normal.

I'm curious if it is possible to reinstall the video driver for the Intel Video Card Device 2068, using i915 Kernel driver and Kernel modules. If so, are there instructions available for this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

I had a similar problem and eventually replaced the video card (or added a new nvidia card as default). That resolved it for me. However, I recently installed linHES 9.0 - has been running now for awhile with minor issues - MUCH better performance - it is based on the current Mythtv release (35). You might think about migrating...

Thanks nbdwt73!

I'm running a Intel NUC mini PC and replacing the video card isn't an option.

Can you give me instructions or a link to get LinHES 9.0 installed? What kind of minor issues are you experiences with LinHES 9.0?

Thanks!

BTW, I really like Charlotte, NC. I've visited several times, spending time in the surrounding area, like Pineville, Concord, Davidson, and Fort Mill, SC. If I leave California, I think I will settle in North or South Carolina.

The biggest problem was honestly remebering how to install linHES the way I like it (had to pull out some old notes). The setup is a lot different but easy to figure out. The other issue was Samba but also got that working (viewtopic.php?f=21&t=35170#p153849).

Download is here → http://www.linhes.org/downloads/R9/R9.0 ... x86_64.iso

Good luck and have fun. Once running it works quite well.

Oh, one more thing. The initial setup is just like the old versions – standard gui. However it has been deprecated so going forward, you will have to use the web version. Make note of the address when the system mentions this.

Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

I'll download and install 9.0 and see how it works out.
