Hi all my new haupauge 250 card came today and i wanted to pick it up. I have heard that knoppmyth supports 250 perfect out of the box..(pretty much) BUt i loaded originaly my haupauge 401 card.. so if i take that out and replace it with a 250 will it change over automaticly to the ivtv drivers??? do i need to do anything special besides the backing tv setup stuff??

Try it and tell us what happens...

ive read several post about conflict with two types of cards.. so im going to get one working..then add a second. i installed the 250 and IT did detect!! and installed.. no errors.. however i set the defualt input to tuner0 and changed the other stuff and all i get is black screen.. it sure would be helpful if it had big error screens..

when you swapped them out did it not pop up the script and tell you you needed to do sections blah and blah and run mythtv-setup for you?

i did see it adding the modules.. it didnt ask me any questions.. and it did boot to asking me for my administrator password, for mythtv-setup

it should have told you what sections you had to do. I can't remember the numbers like the script does, but basically you have to define the tv card then you have to associate the new card with your video source. in that section. should be two sections you have to do something in.
