I have succesfully installed KnoppMyth and I am able to access the front end. When I select Watch TV the first thing I get is a black screen. I select 'c' to switch inputs and when I get to tuner I get static. I composite0 and s-video0 I get black screens. I have my Playstation2 connected to the composite video on the card so I would be expecting to see the PS2's output.

My PVR-250 has a coax input, a S-video input, a composite input (I am assuming it is an input), an audio input, and an IR remote input. The PS2 is connected to the composite input.

I am figuring I messed up in the configuration/setup portion of Myth TV?

Any ideas on how to fix this problem? How do I run the initial setup program for MythTV again if I have to?

Thank you for any help provided.

- John

I solved my problem. The input is on Composite4 and I was checking composite0. Also since it is LiveTV it seems like the image is delayed. So if I hooked the cable up it may take 10-30 seconds before I see the image on the screen.

How exactly did you fix your problem with static coming from the tuner?
I am having the same issue and can not figure it out.

In MythTV setup assign the same channel profile for all inputs (composite, coax, and Svideo). Then slowly cycle through each input in MythTV LiveTV. Wait 30 seconds on each input switch. If you see TV it works. There are many other problems that may cause you to not see TV. For me it was just that I was looking at the wrong input.
