Hi there
I'm very new to Knoppmyth, haven't even attempted an install yet but am looking forward to trying it out after several aborted attempts to make a PVR with different distros.
I downloaded the r4v4.1 ISO and checked the md5sum, that was OK. I have burnt two cds on different machines, both fail the testcd, I have tested on 4 different machines
The message is this

md5sum: MD5 check failed for './isolinux/isolinux.bin'
*** CHECKSUM FAILED!
*** DATA ON YOUR CD MEDIUM IS POSSIBLY INCOMPLETE OR DAMAGED,
*** OR YOUR COMPUTER HAS BAD RAM

I don't see how this can happen when the md5sum for the ISO is correct. is this a serious issue? Do I need to download the whole ISO again?

Cheers
Bones

Thanks Cesman,
I thought someone would have come across this before, I searched and searched, checksum testcd md5sum and some other more obscure searches before finally found the post you are refering to.

Thanks again
