Strange. What version of knoppmyth are using?
USB is not your only issue, look at all of the other "Unknown device" 's in lspci.

Grab a ubuntu 7.10 live CD and see how you lspci looks. If everything shows up correctly, you might want go through task up of upgrading to more recent kernel -- but from what I understand -- doing this with R5F27 is non-trival -- at least for me. I tried and turned back because the changes with regard to ivtv between 2.6.16 and more recent kernels.. This gave me more possible issues than I wanted to think about -- as it related to how the pieces fit together in knoppmyth. This tight integration usualy a very good thing..

The only card that I've got plugged in is the PVR-350. I had a D-Link NIC card in initially, but I got the drivers for the onboard network chip going, so I pulled that card.

I''ll give that a run!

Yeah, I kinda figured that! With that case, I might just wait for the next KM version! I'll have to figure out what else isn't working before going drastic measures! The "basic" functionality is working, so I'm not desperate! .. although, being able to "sneakernet" a 500 GB USB drive would be cool! (this is my second KM box.. both are running independent backends)
