I am having problems connecting to the ipod feed for mythtv.

1) I put in http://192.168.1.102/ipodfeed/feed.php as the location for the podcast.
2) I entered my username and password when prompted
3) it downloads all the show information perfectly, but when i try to actually download the video files i get:

"The network connection could not be made"

I got the same error when trying from a mac laptop (wireless) and a hard wired PC desktop.

The weird thing is its able to get to the RSS feed, and i can download the video files manually with both computers.

Any suggestions?

I still can't find anything on this. The error message implieds that mythtv needs to be locally networked, but this doesn't make any sense since we can access the files directly via HTTP and all the other feeds are remote over the internet anyway.

We had this problem when we first set ours up, but I'm not quite certain what we did to fix it...I think there was an IP address in feed.php that we had to change.

Check out http://www.myth2ipod.com/myth2ipod.html , particularly step 4.

You need to modify the script so that the $feedurl hostname is replaced with your backend’s IP or hostname.

The XML that's already been generated for each show still has "hostname" in it though; not sure if there's an automatic way to change all those (the "-rebuild" option doesn't seem to update those files)
